CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The ACP Program Committee is pleased to invite you to submit a workshop proposal for the 2026 Association for Child Psychoanalysis Annual Meeting, which will be held virtually May 1–3, 2026.

We invite proposals for workshops that present in-depth analytic work with children and adolescents. Each workshop is 1.5 hours and includes a 35-minute presentation followed by a 25-minute discussion. Presenters will be paired with a consultant from the Program Committee to provide feedback and support for revision. Final papers must be submitted to the discussant by February 5, 2026.

Proposals should reflect the unique qualities of an engaged and thoughtful analytic process. Submissions must be three to five double-spaced pages and should include:

  • A brief description of the presenting problem and relevant background history

  • One or two detailed examples of the analytic process

  • A very brief summary of the overall treatment, including duration, whether treatment is ongoing, and whether psychotherapy preceded the analysis

Submission Guidelines:

  • Proposals must be submitted anonymously—do not include any identifying information, including your name, city, or state

  • A signed cover letter must be submitted separately, indicating whether the paper has been or will be presented or published elsewhere, and specifying the venue(s)

  • Submit both documents as PDFs to: childanalysis65@gmail.com

  • Incomplete submissions or submissions not in PDF format will not be accepted

  • The deadline for proposal submissions is now September 1, 2025

All proposals will be reviewed anonymously by the Program Committee.
